About Dr. Attarha
Dr. Barrett O. Attarha, DO, is a dedicated, board-certified gastroenterologist proudly serving the Chattanooga community through the Chattanooga Endoscopy Center. A native of Chattanooga, Dr. Attarha graduated from McCallie High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia. He obtained his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Georgia Campus.
Dr. Attarha completed his Internal Medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville. Throughout his training, he demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to patient care, earning prestigious accolades such as the DCMS Young Physician Leadership Academy Award in 2022 and the Ann Harwood-Nuss Resident Advocate Award in 2021.

Personal Interests
When not caring for his patients, Dr. Attarha enjoys spending his days off on the lake with friends and his beloved dog, Luna. His hobbies include boating, hiking, traveling, playing guitar, and drone photography. Dr. Attarha is excited to be back in his hometown, committed to providing exceptional GI care to the Chattanooga community and surrounding areas.
